Microwave Integrated Retrieval System (MIRS) - Validation

The evaluation of the MIRS products is performed for all sensors that MIRS is applied to. These include NOAA-18 and Metop-A at this time. The left panels let you choose which sensor to check. The evaluation of each product is summarized into the performance flier (PF), which contains the main plots, maps, statistics, etc. relevant to that product for the particular sensor. Note that evaluations are not uniform and depend on the product and on the sensor. The evaluation could be only qualitative (like for the emissivity) or quantitative (when comparison to radiosondes, ground truth data, etc is possible).
