NARCS Overview

As part of NPROVS User-interface, the NPROVS ARChive Summary (NARCS) utility was updated to provide the ability to display data from all satellite systems that are processed by NPROVS including GOES, Aqua-AIRS, IASI, MIRS, COSMIC, and IASI and ATOVS data from EUMETSAT.

Launching NARCS

NARCS was developed in Java which means it can run on multiple platforms, such as for PCs and MACs. We use a method called Java Web Start to launch this utility. This method will first determine if the utility has already been downloaded to the client. If so, it will then check if the utility has been updated on the web server and automatically updates the client. Click on link below to launch NARCS.

NOTE: There is no need to download a separate data file as it is included in the Java ARchive (JAR) file when launching the utility
