NPROVS Summary Plots

Each day, collocation datsets of radiosonde and satellite temperature and water vapor fraction (%) profiles are stored in NPROVS. These are processed into monthly "Vertical Statistics" of satellite-minus-radiosonde mean and standard deviation differences and are available for the following common denominator samples of respectively QC 'd product suite combinations:

ATOVS
ATOVS and GOES
COSMIC and IASI
IASI
IASI and AIRS
MIRS
MetOp

Each day, the mean and standard deviation statistics for Temperature and Water Vapor fraction (%) at selected pressure levels for each product suite are stored and later processed into "Monthly Trend" plots. These are available for independent samples of respectively QC'd product suite combinations:

ATOVS and GOES
COSMIC, IASI and AIRS
MIRS

Monthly trend data are ultimately transferred to the NPROVS ARChive Summary System (NARCS) for "Long-Term Trend" plots. These are available for the same product suite combinations as for monthly trends.
