Products - Instrument Performance - GEO

Instrument performance monitoring (IPM) of geostationary-orbiting environmental satellites (GEO) allows satellite data-users to be alerted about departures of GEO satellite instrument function from its nominal operation. It is the data-users window to the vital signs of a GEO satellite instrument over time, and thus the data quality. The elements of satellite IPM include near-realtime assessment of instrument calibration and housekeeping data. It also includes an archive of historical performance of these variables, as well as documented instrument change/event logs.
