PURPOSE OF EXPEDITION:

Routine MOBY and Weather Station maintenance.

EXPEDITION SUMMARY:

Weather conditions were too rough for MOBY and Weather Station work on 11 Aug; however, personnel were able to test the cellular telephone link at the MOBY mooring on that day.

On 12 Aug, the Weather Station controller was removed (to be replaced with a digital modem in the future), the antifoulant tubes were recharged, the collector windows were cleaned, and underwater photos of MOBY were taken.   General inspection of MOBY revealed missing flopper-stoppers and slightly damaged (possibly from a fishing boat) insulation around the watertight MOBY disk box.  Personnel were able to determine that loss of data, since 3 Aug, was due to a full MOBY data disk.  Rough weather conditions precluded the performance of diver calibrations during this trip.
