PURPOSE OF EXPEDITION:

  Determine reason for loss of data stream from the top MOBY arm.

  Perform MOBY diver cals.


EXPEDITION SUMMARY:

  Total loss of top MOBY arm confirmed.

  Dirty MOBY cals performed, instrument bay door closed, and rocker stoppers 
  replaced on 2 Jun 98.  Clean MOBY cals conducted, Lu antifoulant heads 
  reloaded, and CIMEL cleaning/reconfiguration performed on 3 Jun 98.  The Es
  calibration lamp was successfully used for the first time and the Seimac 
  Argos was replaced due to a failing battery.  

  Inspection of the tether bending strain relief system revealed a separation 
  of most of the urethane boot from the metal attachment.  Will return to repair.
