PURPOSE OF EXPEDITION:

Investigate the reason for excessive tilts and exposed top arm radiances shown in MOBY data scans.

EXPEDITION SUMMARY:

The tilt in MOBY was not caused by the tether wrapped around one of the arms.  Examination of the drogue anchor bridle lines showed one line to be slack with the other one taut.  Since the bridle lines are of the same length, the difference in tautness could be due to a deep current running in the direction of the slack line and a surface current flowing in the opposite direction.  An alternate explanation is that the drogue anchor could be fouled with a net or some other object.
