GOES Aerosol/Smoke Product (GASP) EAST Daily Products

During the transition from GOES-12 to GOES-13 as a data source, this product page will not be consistently updated. Please check back again soon, after the transition is complete we will re-establish regular updates.

The GASP product is a retrieval of the Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) made from the current GOES East visible imagery. The animated map below show GASP AOD over the continental US in 30-minute interval. You can also view an animated bar chart - GASP AOD Histograms of the Continental United States in 30-Minute Intervals (approx. 1.03MB).

This page's images and histograms were updated on: 3/9/2014.
