Tim Schmit Wins the 2011 T. Theodore Fujita Research Achievement Award
from the National Weather Association

October 19, 2011 - At the 2011 National Weather Association annual meeting in Birmingham, Alabama, Tim Schmit was honored with the 2011 T. Theodore Fujita Research Achievement Award.

Tim's award citation says: "for excellence in promoting and extending the use of satellite data within the operational community currently and in the future". This award is the association's highest honor for a member whose research has significantly contributed to the field of operational meteorology and has been awarded for over 30 years. STAR congratulates Tim on this award.
