Suomi NPP Captures Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath - 25-31 August 2017

31 August 2017 - On August 23 the disorganized remnants of Tropical Storm Harvey emerged from the Yucatan Penninsula. Over the next three days the storm would strengthen into a Category 4 hurricane that devistated the small coastal towns between Corpus Cristi and Galveston. Over the next five days the storm barely budged, dumping feet of rain over most of southeast Texas. Some areas around Houston and Beuomont saw upwards of 4 feet of rain during this time.
