STAR / SMCD / OPDB - NOAA Products Validation System (NPROVS)
NPROVS Overview
NPROVS routinely (daily) compiles datasets of collocated radiosonde, dropsonde, numerical weather prediction (NWP) and satellite sounding product observations. These datasets are sub-divided for Conventional and Special radiosonde observations. These collocations are primarily used to monitor satellite derived soundings from multiple product suites and support of scientific algorithm development.
Click on either the Conventional or Special options on the left menu to access respective long term statistical summary plots.
Click on Graphic Apps & Data option in left menu to get associated Java applications for viewing datasets and respective Conventional and Special datasets.
