Microwave Integrated Retrieval System (MIRS) - Sensors

This section describes the sensor characteristics (central frequency, bandwidth, polarization, NeDT, etc) of the different instruments for which MIRS is either:

  • Routinely running (such as SNPP/ATMS)
  • Configured to run, and was previously run, operationally prior to the end of the satellite/sensor mission, or,
  • In the process of being applied, or
  • Planned to be applied to when the sensor is launched (such as JPSS-1/ATMS), or
  • Configured to run in a strictly research/non-operational mode.
